On St. Bees beach at the start of my first Coast To Coast walk

I recently started walking again, not only to get my general level of fitness up but also to escape everyday life, enjoy the scenery and meet new people. It is a great feeling reaching the summit of a hill and taking in the view below and around you or reaching the end of a Long Distance walk like the Coast To Coast, Pennine Way, West Highland Way or similar walks and feeling a sense of achievement. After I did a few of these longer walks, I thought I would create a website so that I could keep a note of my walks, update them and also to possibly pass on some advice to anyone reading. Much of the information I looked for about the Coast To Coast, West Highland Way or Great Glen Way came through other peoples websites so hopefully my knowledge can help.

I have written a report for each walk and the longer walks have a day by day account, complete with statistics and photos. If you have any questions, use the "Contact Me" option in the menu at the top of the page and I'll try to answer it. I look forward to adding to the website as I do more walks as I plan a couple of Long Distance Walks, as well as day walks in the Dales, Peak District, Lake District, Scotland and Wales.
